Andy helps Nicky prepare the note bellow.

A letter from Nicky

Hello everybody

I’m currently doing very well my epidural means I can’t feel much (including my legs and feet). Tomorrow will probably be horrible, as that’s when they take the epidural out and I’ll be able to feel the bruised and battered bits.

The hospital staff are all great and I feel like I’m in safe hands, though they might be trying hard because I brought them brownies.

Love you all, see you soon

Nicky

Update on Nicky

All seems to be going well, obviously it will be months before we know the full results of the operation.

Nicky’s pain is under better control, but she still can’t feel her legs because of the epidural and blood pressure problem.

We are visiting her tomorrow and will give you more details when we return.

Spotted this in Bitton last week, luckily this isn't one of Nicky's surgeons.

Just Returned from visiting Nicky, she has come through the operation well but has a blood pressure problem at the moment.
This is probably caused by the epidural pain relief, more details tomorrow when Andy sees the surgeons.
Nicky has not seen a doctor yet as everyone is a Mr (all consultants)
Her bedside phone number is 07041 104307.

Andy marvels at the hospitals unique, non-stop lift.
Used only by staff, who step in and out of the constantly moving lift cubicles.
He's smiling because they let him try it.

This is the Farr computer set up almost 25 years ago, Nicky is playing space invaders on a BBC model B.
It was the 32k memory model (there was a 16k version), you had to supply a TV for the monitor and use a cassette player to load the programs.
And it cost £399 for the computer only.

It started opposite the back of the Saracens Head and ran down to the river, its probably between the multi storey and Waitrose.
