Now the Daleks are back on DR Who, I think it's time to print this recent e-mail from Laurie Booth.
Who some of you should remember from the early days of Avon Films.
Laurie is now a gentleman of leisure, spending his time collecting rent on his flats and running www.captainpugwash.org.uk one of his many web sites.

Hi Sam I've been busy over the last weekend working for the BBC doing a "BBC Experience" a sort of history of the Beeb radio & TV. We had 4,000 visitors so you can imagine we were kept busy. I was doing all kinds of odd jobs. I was going down a corridor "not open to the public" and found a Dalek broken down with an operator still in it. The top fits on like an old divers helmet so the operator has to be helped in and out using a stool !!!
We both fixed the Dalek, with glue, ping pong ball and two batteries!! Yep they do have sink plungers. So a very high tec bit of kit !!

Hope you and Wendy are keeping well

Derry's Cross Plymouth

Sam and Wendy have just come back from Plymouth, after a few days away, here’'s a picture of Derry's Cross roundabout from our hotel.
It'’s taken hand held through the glass, as the window is sealed to stop me jumping, and joined up with the best free panorama program I have ever seen. www.cs.ubc.ca/~mbrown/autostitch/autostitch.html
I used Wendy's little Canon PowerShot A70
