The Farr Family

This Is the Blog of the Farr family, Sam and Wendy Farr and their Daughters Nichola and Helen plus their husbands Andy Higby and David Mattock. They all live in the Bath Area. Sam works as a freelance photographer after taking voluntary redundancy from The Bath Chronicle after 20 years, Andy is a freelance Manager for various Charities and David a Computer programmer. Well-Travelled Trabant


This 1959 Trabant was brought from East Germany and driven through the Berlin Wall.
The 549cc 2 stroke motorcycle engine runs on leaded, unleaded or ever paraffin plus a 1/50 ratio of oil and it does 50mpg.
The Body is made of Duraplast (Virtually Bakelite) and wait for it No fuel gauge, fuel pump, water pump, radiator, oil pump, sump, timing belt, valves, camshaft, points, distributor or brake servo.
It's seen regularly around Bath driven by Conservative councillor Bryan Chalker.
