Onyx is Ok

We had a difficult day yesterday, Wendy and I were called home early from work to find Helens horse Onyx seriously ill.

After a couple of hours with Helen and Nicky holding the sedated horse, while we poured warm water into the tube the vet had put up the horses nose to wash out his stomach, he seemed much better.

This morning our neighbour, whose field Onyx was in at the time found a young girl staying with her had given Onyx un soaked sugar beet, which expanded in his stomach.

Unusually for me I didn't take any pictures (I genuinely thought Onyx was going to die) so this is and old picture.

This morning he is fine, but is staying in the stable for a few days.
