Red Dwarf

Memorable Quotes from Red Dwarf Series 2 “Kryton”

Holly: Hope they've got some odds and sods on board; we're short of a few supplies.
Lister: [drinking tea] Like what?
Holly: Cow's milk, ran out of that yonks ago. Fresh and dehydrated.
Lister: What kind of milk are we using now?
Holly: Emergency backup supply. We're on the dog's milk.
Lister: Dog's milk!
Holly: Nothing wrong with dog's milk. Full of goodness, full of vitamins, full of marrowbone jelly. Lasts longer than any other milk, dog's milk.
Lister: Why?
Holly: No bugger'll drink it. Plus of course the advantage of dog's milk is that when it goes off, it tastes exactly the same as when it's fresh.

It’s a little known fact that Asda run a Big Issue type charity, for unemployed Pantomime dwarfs.

When all the Snow White pantomime shows come to an end in January hundreds of dwarfs are out of work.

So Asda employ then to milk the giant herds of milking daschund’s that roam the grassy plains to the North of Birmingham.

So life has followed fantasy, I spotted this dog milk in Asda Trowbridge today!

Twisted Rails

These pictures are from about ten years ago when flooding and subsidence caused a rail embankment to collapse between Bath and Saltford.

One man and his dog

One of my favourite candid pictures from 1991 used dozens of times by the newspaper, but a sign that times have changed little for the street people.

email from Andy in Rome

Hi Sam and Wendy,
Thought you might like a picture of Nicky sitting on the world famous Spanish Steps in Rome.
Has been warm(ish) and bright here all day (have been looking at the weather back at home when I have been checking the weather here via the bbc site - so know it is not as nice with you).
Love to you both - Andy (and Nicky).

Wellow Trekking Centre

Wellow Trekking Centre is run by the Shellard Family

I’ve know the family for more years than I care to Remember, here’s Frank on the beach at Porth nr Newquay doing his Mr Magoo impression.

And this is Frank with his Dad Reg.

It was great tonight to bump into Frank anf Judy with the family outside the Theatre Royal as they delivered Cinderella’s ponies.

They regularly look after pantomime ponies feeding, exercising, grooming and delivering them to the Theatre twice a day.

Bath Theatre Royal

These are pictures taken at a children’s show,
at Bath Theatre Royal about 5 years ago.

I don’t remember much, except the woman played
the ukulele on roller skates while doing the splits.

Then her companion arrived on a jet powered pogo stick,
which exploded much to the children’s delight.

Floods

The heavy rain has caused flooding all over the West, and even the Cam Brook at the bottom our garden is threatening to burst its banks.
It’s luck our house is over three hundred feet away and fifty feet higher.
